Hey guys, My Name is Rob, I'm from rural North Carolina a few miles north of Pinehurst, Home of the U.S. Open for Golf. I'm 24 and I have my B.S. in Chemical Engineering. I started scrapping recently because my Grandfather, the best kind of person, let me scrap the junk on his property. Now when I say he had a lot of metal, known that I mean it. He had a LOT of metal. I sold all of it for a grand total of 17,000 dollars. Since I live way out in the country, there are a lot of people who never got rid of anything, however I can go about 20 Miles to the nearest city, which isn't bad at all, considering my location. With this money I bought a 2005 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 to satisfy my old itch for a truck, then I bought a large 6.5 x 14 Utility trailer for scrapping purposes because I couldn't keep borrowing my Father's or Grandfather's. I squirreled the rest of the money away and have a surprisingly large sum of it left. I asked my Grandfather about it, being that he payed for my college experience and all, if i could start up a scrap business and he told me I could use a few years of manual labor anyways and has supported me all the way. So now I scrap anything I can get my hands on in a two-bay garage he was gracious enough to let me use.
Edit: Forgot to mention I'm married. Oops! Don't tell the wife. We've been married for two years and have been dating since I was sixteen
