Fair offering price for freon removal?

I was thinking about putting a wanted ad on craigslist for freon removal from ACs, refrigerators, and stuff, and I was wondering how much I should offer. I was hoping I could find someone that would trade the service for maybe half or 1/3 of the scrap appliances I get. I'd rather trade than pay cash. Anyway, does anyone have an idea how many scrap appliances I should offer in exchange for the freon removal? 1 for every 2 done? 1 for every 3? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I believe that freon removal costs about $35-$50 a pop. Supposing a guy is into scrapping and willing to trade, whatever is the cash equivalent in appliances is what you'd be trading. Have you ever thought about getting certified to do it yourself? If you get a lot of appliances with freon, you would save a ton in removal fees. Do a search for ASE (vehicles) certification online. Any idea what is costs to get rid of the freon? Some of this stuff isn't used any more, so is it going to sit around in a bottle until the end of time?

I believe that if a certified technician evacuates it, they can then resell it. To have a chemical waste company come and dispose of it(which they burn it anyways) would be pretty pricey...dependent on how much you have. I can't tell you exact prices. A company called RemTec international will buy (only certain mixes), or take used freon off your hands. They clean it for reuse or destroy it if it is dirty with no cost to the customer. Downfall here is, you must be a certified technician to resell like this because you have to keep the same kind records that the company you sell too does.
