I believe that
freon removal costs about $35-$50 a pop. Supposing a guy is into scrapping and willing to trade, whatever is the cash equivalent in appliances is what you'd be trading. Have you ever thought about getting certified to do it yourself? If you get a lot of appliances with
freon, you would save a ton in removal fees. Do a search for ASE (vehicles) certification online. Here is the link to the EPA websites covering freon removal from small appliances:
