    Freon Recovery

Does anybody drain and sell Freon?

On Ebay various grades of Freon appear to be selling for about 180$ for a 30-pound tank. Now it's technically against EPA regs to discharge freon or do any draining without an HVAC license, but we all know what happens to most AC/fridges we scrap, so if the stuff is worth money AND is bad for the environment, we should recover it!
Seems like for some of us part-timers it might not be economical, but for some of the bigger operations on here it would be a money maker.
It sounds like different classes of Freons MUST be kept separate in order to get paid for them. Heres two videos I pulled up that are really helpful. Seems pretty cheap to do with bbq tanks.

(caution, this 2nd one has an australian accent)

I am tossing around the idea of doing this myself, I just have too many irons in the fire at the moment.
