The SMF Shop - Buy and Sell Custom Products
Have fun, make money and share your creativity in the SMF Shop buying and selling your own customized products.
You can buy and sell t-shirts, hoodies, magnets, bumper stickers, mugs, flyers, labels, etc.
Anything you can create and customize on Zazzle or Cafepress you can sell here!
But wait, there's a catch...
There are 2 ways you can post your own custom design for sale, you can buy someone else's custom product and enter your receipt # in the submission form ($10 minimum), or you can purchase a subscription via the forum ($5 - You can do that here,
http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/payments.php). Scrap Room members can list their first product in the shop without this requirement however additional products must meet one of the above requirements.
Have some design skills? Want to put a few "you might be a scrapper if..." quotes on a t-shirt? Put your creative scrapper sense to use and post your own products for other members and guests to check out. Zazzle pays you a royalty on every sale you make on a customized product, so if you create a product on Zazzle, and post it on the forum, you'll earn money every time a forum member or guest orders your item. You'll receive a check or payment via paypal from them. You can also use your balance to purchase other products from Zazzle if you choose.
Remember you can make parts of your creations customizable by members. For example, you could create a t-shirt, bumper sticker, or a brochure of sorts where the purchaser can swap out the phone number in your design, with their own. Maybe you have nice flyer templates, that members could use for advertising and customize with their own information.
You could create some snazzy business cards with customizable contact information and/or company logos, text, etc. The limit is only your imagination and with the never-ending need for ADVERTISING when it comes to the scrap metal business, why not make some money helping others do the same.

Once you've created your first product that you're happy with, you can move to step 4.
Step 4 - Submit your product to the shop. Fill out the simple form with the information about your product, and you'll be notified once it has been approved! FAQ's
Can I advertise my shop products in my forum signature?
Sure you can. As long as you don't abuse the privilege and go on a mass posting spree with things like, 'Nice post', 'check out my signature', 'thank you for this thread' providing no value (obviously).
How many products can I submit to the shop?
Purchasing a product from the shop or a paid subscriptioin, you can list 1 product, for each additional product you should buy another product from the shop.
What kind of stuff can I post in the shop?
Anything you create at
Zazzle or
Cafepress you can post here.
You can also submit products you own from Clickbank such as ebooks and software.
How long will my product stay in the shop?
Indefinitely.
Can I edit my thread after it's been submitted?
No. Once you submit your product to the Shop, your original post cannot be edited, whatever you submit with the product submission form will be the final output of your listing. If there's an error or some sort of problem with your listing that needs to be addressed, submit a support ticket and someone will work with you. Again, once your listing is approved it cannot be edited.
Any additional information I should be aware of?
Yes. All submissions are still subject to our Forum's terms and conditions which you can view here,
Scrap Metal Forum - Scrap Metal Forum Terms of Service
Also note that we reserve the right to disapprove any submission, or remove any live submission at any time at our own discretion, even if you've purchased a product already listed in the SMF shop. If a paid subscription was purchased via the forum, a refund may be issued at our discretion. If your submission wasn't approved we'll let you know why and how to comply if you decide to resubmit a product.
Royalties
As of now, products listed in the shop are automatically appended with our referral link, meaning we get a small % of each sale made via the SMF shop. This happens automatically in the background when the sale is made and nothing has to be done by you. If you're submitting a Clickbank product, we ask that the minimum commission for your product be at 50% or higher. We promote the shop and drive targeted potential buyers to your product via advertising and other means in exchange for the small royalty which is handled automatically. This helps us to maintain the site and it's community as well as allows us to grow and offer new features, functionality, bandwidth, speed, etc.
