hi all...
I'm Jim...I'm in northwest PA...I stumbled on this site last spring when I was looking for info about what I could salvage from the several old TVs that I've accumulated over the years (I have a hard time throwing things away)...I lurked and read all that I could for several weeks and finally got around to joining in June when I was preparing to approach a school about taking over their E-Scrap program...I never got around to introducing myself here before the E-Scrap project fell through and I haven't been around here much since then...
well, I'm still drawn to this stuff so I'm back to reading back-posts and figured I should introduce myself this time...
I've regularly recycled cans and other aluminum for many years...and I've taken a load of mixed ferrous over every once in a while as I accumulated it too...I'm currently parting out our old Chevy Corsica...and also trying to salvage some saleable parts from a couple of old appliances before scrapping them...
I don't expect to have much info on scrapping/recycling to offer since I'm learning so much from the veterans here...I have done a lot of online selling and so might be able to help in that area if questions come up...
