I'm Ed, and I recently started scrapping to make a little extra cash after losing my job. Scrapping is quite competitive around here. There are easily 10+ post a day on Craigslist from different people wanting to pick up scrap. When I cruise neighborhoods, I often pass by other scrappers searching the same areas. It is quite frustrating. Still, I have made a few bucks, and scored some good stuff so far. A guy responded to a CL ad I posted, and let me clean out his storage locker full of industrial type computer stuff. When it's all said and done, I'll have made at least $400 just off the stuff from the locker. It is a lot of work though, going through everything, and breaking it down.
I'm glad to have found this forum, and have already gained knowledge from here, as well as sourced a buyer for all of the e-scrap from the storage locker.
