    A Scrappers Dream; Metal Prices

    I would like to ask members what the scrap metal prices are in their market as of now. I need the information for my latest project. If you could post your board price for prepared and unprepared scrap and location. If you do not want to disclose your location, please state the region, state, province, etc. Thank you for your help.

    $200 a ton (2000 pounds) for cars
    after I pull all the good stuff >> Copper wire, radiators,Heater & AC Cores,Alternator, AC Compressor, Battery, Aluminum wheels and of course the cat

    well got the return call.Said today $250 but next week may call me because it might go down more.But said anywhere from atleast $240-$250 so still not to bad.

    This may be a little late, but last week I was getting 250/t car bodies, this week it fell to 230 or 11.5 cents a lb

    3 different yards for me but ranges from
    80-175 for appliances
    120-175 for cars
    120-175 for shred
    135-190 for prepared

    all these are based on a 2000# ton

    west central mn

    but they all say that its going down again in the next week or two
