Morning everyone, just joined the forums.
My name is Mike, and I'm the "Outside Buyer" for a Schnitzer Steel feeder yard in Burbank, WA. I buy all the ferrous and nonferrous scrap for my yard, mostly from dealers and smaller scrap yards and companies, but we do get a few peddlers here or there and I work real closely with a few full-time scrappers for some bigger spot buys too. We are a bit out of the way for the general public, but I pay more than all the in-town yards for folks willing to make the drive.
I've been in the scrap business for about a year and a half, always looking to learn so I figure these forums would be a good place to do some reading and hopefully contribute/help others along the way.
