    Today's haul

Among other things, I picked up these today for $.02. Figured it was worth a bid since I was going to pick up some other stuff anyway.

The first is a box of about 20-25 spinner motors for a slot machine. The motors are pretty hefty (3" dia x 2" thick) with the plastic ring on it. I guess this is what attaches to the apple/orange/lemon display piece. Not sure what I'll do with them but I'll probably keep a couple for projects and scrap the rest. Maybe I can make a slot machine. :-)

The second is a microfiche reader. I only wish it was worth what these guys are asking:
    NB Jackets (Bell & Howell) 162 RDR/FILLER Minolta Micro(film) Auto Filler - RecycledGoods.com
But I suspect there's no real market so it'll probably get scrapped as well. Some aluminum, wiring, and shred.

I know. I think I overpaid. Looks like I exaggerated a little. Turned out to be 18 of those motors and they are a little smaller than what I said. I'll test them out and toss them on ebay or something. There are a few similar ones listed there. stepping motor 1.8 deg 12v | eBay

Yep. Just dismantled and found a few wires, transformers, switches, very little aluminum and the rest steel, glass, & mirror. On the brighter side, I responded to a craigslist free listing and picked up a box full of cables and a few Ethernet switch boxes. The prize was a heavy copper heatsink for a processor. I'm still a recreational scrapper so this was pretty exciting.
