For anyone not too far from linclonton NC with EPA certification and can handle 20 pallets of looks like mostly escrap needs to check out govdeals. It's at $250 right now. I don't have the space or certification to handle this load.

Neither certifications would be difficult. Listing of all serial numbers would be tedious but not difficult. Up here, I have an EPA-approved recycling facility I take CRTs to. I think that would meet their criteria. Then a signed statement of hard drive destruction/wiping should suffice for data destruction.

Many folks do not realize that there is no EPA certification for Ewaste. R2 and similar certifications are through independent parties. Any requirements for handling Ewaste are at the state level and usually through the DEQ.
Also note that the ad just stated they wanted proof of EPA compliant disposal. That's pretty easy to provide.
