    State auctions

I went to a state auction here in Ohio and couldn't compete with all the buyers there. A pallet of 200 laptops sold for $4200. A lot of the buyers there are very competitive and have deep pockets. I ended up walking away empty handed, again. I spoke with my flat screen tv guy who throws me junk here and there. He said he would go to an auction with me and split the cost of a pallet of laptops. He has a buyer who sells laptops in South America, supposedly a huge market there. I am a bit skeptical of that move but will keep it mind for the next auction.
The last couple of auctions online I was able to scoop up a lot of wins. Though most of the equipment is broken, missing parts and at least 10 years old or more.

All of these were supposed to have no hard drive. Though at least half had a 40 gb or higher.

I'd have more fun sorting through the top row there ; )

Also, I always found local and state auctions to be too much, found the federal gov't had better ones, though it was more driving for pickups

I think I've been to the auction in Columbus that you are referring to. I quit going because everything was going for outrageous prices.

Yea, no kidding! My pockets are just not deep enough and I don't have they have the clientele they have for selling. I still go to every auction with an intent to buy something.
