    Question Posting Auction info?

    Hello,

I am new to the forum and not sure where to post about an auction in ohio that has a bunch of high quality "scrap metal" in the listing. The items are NOS mining parts, and all items have a weight posted (approx 400,000lbs total weight). Can i post the auction info here? or d I have to join/pay to upgrade to the buyer/seller forum?

    thanks,

    Justin

    Posting Auction info?

many people have posted interesting auctions they have run across, however if it is your auction, you probably should have a buyer/seller account.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

OK great, thanks for the reply.

I just bought the lifetime scraproom with buyer/seller thread included.

Now, should I post in buyer/seller thread only? or can I also post here?

    Thanks

    Justin

All information that you are going to add that would be buying/selling by your business should be in your sellers thread. You are welcome to comment on any other threads and start your own threads with your questions or answers.

I think your expertise on auctions would be very helpful to our members. Perhaps you could start a thread with basic and advanced information for buyers and sellers who don't know the auction business.

I have bought from various government auctions myself and might do more buying if I was better educated. I resell much of what I get from various sources. Many of the members also resell along with scraping.

Thank you for joining and for becoming a paid member. This forum has been incredibly helpful for our members and you may find that the education available here in the old threads helpful to you.

    Thank you and 73, Mike

Is there a reserve on any items? There are incredible deals to be had! I'm in Maine and I'm thinking of taking a road trip to Ohio. With no reserve, my vacation would be well funded just through scrapping these items.

    Thanks the interest Nutpie,

This is an absolute auction and there are no reserves! However, its is a TIMED ONLINE-ONLY AUCTION, like ebay. You don't need to be there in person, the only bidding happens online from a pc or phone, at the link I posted above.

if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call or email me.

    Justin
