Warning about salvex.com

STAY AWAY! Salvex is a surplus and salvage auction broker type site. I was high bidder on a very large lot of lead acid batteries from a insurance freight salvage claim. I knew my bid was subject to acceptance from the adjuster and I was fine with that. 7 days went by, I was promised a yes or no within 2 days of auction close, still nothing. I email salvex, get a bunch of BS. Then today I get a email saying I was outbid. Um, the auction closed and I was willing to counteroffer and the sales rep Amy said ok. They are just fishing for higher bids and more commission from the item owner. So I googled reviews on salvex.com, and its is horrid! Based out of houston supposedly, and lawsuits pending about customers/bidders not being able to pickup their items after being paid. I was lucky and caught on fast, but DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS!
