yellow tc box and black box weight and value.

TCs very in size and weight so this is an average over 5 lbs.

each average about 1/4 of a gram and are valued at about .0125 each.

so that would make one gram worth about .05

there are about 124 to an oz so the value would be about $1.56

with about 1980 to a # the value would be about $25 per lb.

weather it is worth removing them is up to each individual

they are quick and easy to remove at about 30 seconds to a min to clear a board.

however in the last year we accumulated about 12 lbs or about $300 per year extra pocket money. (about 15,000 lbs of boards mostly servers)

do the buyers degrade the board ? most don't.

is it worth it? its up to you.

OK olddude you completely got me wondering and I might have to down grade myself back to rookie status. Can you explain to this scrapper who thought he was figuring it all out. WHAT EXACTLY HAS AVERAGE WEIGHT OF ABOUT 1/4 GRAM AND IS WORTH $.0125??? I missed breakfast this morning and that has obviously affected me or I'm just late and slow in the thinking department today! please help me out. I think TC is telecom but maybe not.

OK thanks Brass I'm not so behind now and another thank you on the 90 dg needle nose, work great on the SMD tantalum caps. Once I got into it, a little bit of a back and forth wiggle and I was harvesting at a steady pace. The SMD's are actually the quickest to do, soooo small though, think I will only do largest ones though. Thanks again. TC = tantalum capacitors and won't skip breakfast again.
