Does anybody know of a buyer for lithium phosphate batteries? I have one that is the size of a small car battery.

The short answer is that you are going to end up paying to get rid of it. Pretty much any Lithium battery with anything other than Lithium Ion chemistry is going to be in the 2-3.00 per pound charge to have recycle properly.
Auburn,
Thank you for your response. Maybe you can help me understand this a little more. This battery is actually a Li-Ion battery. There are numerous different chemical compositions for Li-Ion batteries. Lithium Cobalt are the typical composition for laptops and cell phones. Lithium Iron Magnesium Phosphate (LiFeMgPO4) is another composition. Are these Li-Ion batteries also typically in the 2 to 3 dollar (charge) per pound to recycle?
That composition is one of the types that nobody buys, and anyone who takes them charges. I do not have an exact price on that one but most of the types I have seen are in the 3-4.00 range.
