    NiCd battery scrap/recycling

I break down a lot of cordless electronics that have NiCd batteries inside. I try to be environmental and recycle those batteries. Today, the place I usually take them to (Batteries+) told me they were going to start charging to take them.

I hate to throw them in the trash. Cadmium is really bad stuff. But neither do I want to pay someone to take them.

    Ideas?

I don't know the answer but I do recommend you check with our member buyers and see if any are buying them. 73, Mike

Lowes and Home Depot take them for free still, normally a drop off bin by customer service area.
    Better than the dump!
