Anyone know if there is a market for battery back up units. I have a few hundred Lbs of 12v batteries pulled from various size units?

Some yards pay the same price per pound for small lead acid batteries as for car batteries. Other yards pay a lower price or don't take them at all.
You have to check with the yards in your area for pricing.
I have one yard that pays 25 cents/lb, another that takes them for free and another that doesn't take them at all.
Yes. Core buyers and battery specialists usually pay the same price/lb as any other lead acid battery.
Mine go to the local scrap yard. $0.16/lb last time I took some this past week. they have a category "batteries" that those and car batteries go into. I think they may also have a specific "forklift battery" section too? not sure if it pays more or less but thought i remembered seeing that on the payout board at one point
Most of the yards around here have them in their price list. They pay the same $/lb as car or truck batteries.
Same here.... they go as batteries with sub pump back up, auto, and marine batteries. I was getting $10 a auto/marine batterie but the owner of that yard found out what his competitor yard was paying and know they go by the pound. so auto batts go around $4-5 ea now. lame
I been scrapping battery backups for a while now. As long as they're lead acid, the yards should buy them. I called a local yard recently and they are giving 20 cents a pound.
Let them know that they are the small batteries and make sure they take batteries that are swollen or split open.
With each UPS you will get 1 power board and 1 transformer.
Thank you for sharing the information.
