Scrap yard in the city has fresh coffee on all day and the lunch buffet is from 11:30 to 1:00 pm.
The yard I dealt with in BC, would send me a tridem trailer with 4" sides and T-shirts with the driver delivering the trailer.
Took a full day top load the trailer, driver would return with an empty then hook up to the loaded for the return trip to Richmond BC.
When I cleaned up the scrap from the ready mix plant a 6 week job had Richmond drop a trailer at the job site, owner of the plant let me use their excavator to load.
The scrap business in BC is very competitive, they all want your business especially when your shipping 3 or 4 trailers a week and doing a large car crush once a year from our yard. The thought of tipping never crossed my mind.
A lot of the times when a trailer arrived there would be a few hundred pounds of aluminium laying in the dirt left behind on the deck of the trailer that the
magnet wouldn't pick up.
