cruise around on garbage night, check in dumpsters, walk through woodsy areas next to the highway or traintracks. get creative by advertising your services as a "junk remover" to local business' as a way for them to use less dumpster space (they pay to have it emptied) and save manpower (moving items to the trash), offer to pay for items via craigslist.
