Guys this is a lower end enthusiast board...all of that is anodized or powder coated the gold color....ie not real gold. There are a ton of boarda out there that have color schemes...the o e I have in my custom built machine I did was ref and black...in fact I matched most of my components and the cables to those colors. It is funny when I see aloy of buyers that say ALL colored boatds are cheap chinese crap....many of those are actually very high end boards with high end components in them. I guess I should look to see the amount of gokd tracings where I can call BS from some buyers as they can be a much better grade of board than many green boards.

I've got red boards from the 90s, made in USA, some of the highest of the high end machines of the day, made for and used by NASA

Lol. I have a board similar to that in the gaming rig I'm typing on right now, its an Asus motherboard, its similar to it but not as much gold. Still has some golden/gold plated components on it. The board cost me about 150-175 bucks.

Went to pick up some Ebay purchases about ten years ago, the guy was totally into computering. Had a machine with a clear side panel and inside had all kinds of lights. Looked more like a carnival. I'm inclined to care more how it works than how it looks. Once just for fun I set up a motherboard out of the case with all the computer components laying all over the desk, but hooked up and running, took a photo and named it "New Build". Used it for my profile pic in a computer chat ; )

Bear - they make a "case" like that that is open with a huge fan...it is for people that test or change alot of stuff out. Yeas how it works is always better, but since I have always built my own since the 90's I know what is in mine and they are rock solid and are like godzilla whenIit vomed to performance ..so I decided I l8ked it to look cool too.
