That looks to be a very nice motherboard Would love to use it lol

That don't even show the CPU heatsink. It mentions gold, but then, it also mentions "gold colors". Snazzy lookin either way.
Just remember though, as with any other mobo, it'll be outdated before you get it out of the box ; )

the heatsinks are anodized a gold color, the rest looks to be gold plated

I wonder why the transistors are gold plated?

I bet someone would be glad to give you motherboard pricing for that thing..

I was taking antennas off of wireless network cards today, and the elbow that holds it onto the board sure looked a lot like gold, but I was fairly certain it had to be brass

All I was talking about on that article, if you read it, was no real references to karats or anything like that, and one place it even mentioned gold color, as if it was only colored gold. Not sure what it's all made of, but they really weren't very specific, as they would be in a piece of jewelry or something, with a "solid! 24K Gold filled plate!" or something

those antenna connectors are brass, but occasionally you will find gold plated ones

My bad I got transistors confused with caps, I'm only 32, but I must really be getting old if I cant tell the difference lol..

if someone gave me one working i would just use it or save it for a lot later as with mobo's coming to there end at least with desktops these boards like this can be upgraded so that even in 6-10yrs they will be in demand so anything produced in these few years is worth saving if you can and everything that goes with them
