Hard drive boards vs CD/DVD boards

What am I missing here? If you gave me a pile of 100 of them, some of them look almost identical. So why is there such a price/value difference?

once you have handled a lot of them, they look very different.
The hard drive boards have more precious metals in them.

hard drive boards are a lot narrower, and the plugs on the back are different
