I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you better get in why the going is still good.
Actually I think most of us do get it. It's already been stated that the per # price may go down but the volume will increase thus evening it all out. We all know that newer pc's have a much lower precious metal content, therefore, as far as scrap goes, I, at least, pay less for them. I believe that, after reading a lot on this forum, most of the scrappers here that make good money, roll with whatever makes them the most at any given time, so if not computers something else will pop up. I have also noticed that where I live most of the electronics recyclers that Tulsa had are no longer in business. Most quit or gave up. I don't know why, but I fully agree with Mech that now is the time to go big or go home. I just got 7 new contacts yesterday who all advertise haul offs and junk removal on Craigslist and none of them had an outlet for electronics or computers. Each agreed that selling to me at above current shred price, which what they do with them, would be much more profitable. If I keep growing at the rate I have been over the past few months,
e-scrap will be my full time job. And I just started. We will never run out of things to scrap. You just have to go where the money is.
