I realize the DVD burners, I also keep the better looking readers(DVDROM) to use as a secondary drive to facilitate burning direct copies.
Also I know the 5.25" floppy drives, especially if it has the dual 5.25"/3.5" combo drive.
And also SCSI drives are worth checking into



Mainly I guess the question is towards older floppy and CD drives, and at what points you'd consider them being(or maybe becoming) worth consideration to set aside for future use, or better than scrap value
