Processors

I am sure there has a been a post or 12 on here about processors, however, I didn't see any very recent.



I was at the yard today chatting with the guy about e-waste and what they take. He informed me that they pay $3/LB for Ram and $10/LB for ceramic processors. I think he said $8/LB for green/fiber processors. My question is, would I have a better deal with selling these to the yard or taking the pins off myself and finding a buyer that way. Trying to figure in my time in removing the pins and having to hold onto these until I get enough to sell.

I understand that, just looking to see where I would get the better deal. Right now I have a coffee can that is about 1/4 of processors and 18oz of RAM.

They are jacki g you on ram...silver ram averages $6/lb and gold ram about $13/lb or so...even at $1/lb shipping you come out ahead. Processors run $6-250/lb depending on what you have.*Unless you get comfortable with removing plated gold using acid or reverse electrolosis, dont pull pins...sell them as is or save the old ones and get them toll refined by a pro.

The p4 chips generally run $10-15/lb but you have to look to get that price. Ceramic pentium 1 chips are like $30/lb, so they are jacking people. Older chips or the gold tops run even more per pound...do your reasearch on here before giving them away like that.NEVER EVER SELL TO THE YARD BEGORE SHOPPING PRICES HERE AND ON EBAY (EWASTE)..even metals, call around to other yards just to make sure they are close.
