Circuit Boards

Are they worth keeping? I know most scrap yards won't take them, but can they sell on eBay? or other sites if I collect enough of them?

exactly. Look around on Ebay for scrap motherboards. You can learn a lot.

What about other circuit boards that aren't motherboards? Worthless?

I pull off any transformers and heat sinks then throw the rest of it in mixed scrap if there's not gold on em

For the transformers, is it worth the time to try to get the copper out? I've tried pulling them apart, but they take forever. Will the scrap yard still pay decently for them when they're not taken apart?

50/50. Some are really easy.. others.. "smash and grab" .. just beat it with a hammer, it will mostly fall apart

My yard pays electric motor price on them, which is about .25 a pound. Sometimes I grab the wire, sometimes I chunk in the motor box.

There are a couple of things to look into with circuit boards.
Most of them that come out of TV/Monitors, DVD,VHS,Satellite Receivers, are considered "low grade" and don't have the value of the ones that are being "flaunted" on EBay. MAKE sure you are buying are selling those that come out of PCs that REALLY have gold in them.
BTW, most of the time, you can get more for them on EBay, than through smelters.
Your low grade boards still have a fair amount of copper etc. in them, so don't give them away cheap.
