What do we reckon this bag of chips is worth?

I happened upon this on eBay and it is fairly local to me and I've been intending to have a crack at gold refining so I was curious...

My thinking is that it might be a pretty good deal or it might be a total rip off or anywhere in between, depending what's in it, and he's not given enough information to make a valid judgement.

You probably be safe enough to figure the larger pile of p-4's as having a value of 7.00 USD / lb ( 90.00 USD for that pile )

The higher value chips as safely having a value of 17.00 USD /lb ( 60.00 USD for that pile )

At the very most i wouldn't risk more than 150.00 USD. assuming that the weights are correct .

Way overpriced. 179.99 euros converts to $233.03. Assuming the weights are correct, as Scrappah indicated, you're looking around $150-175 (and 175 is on the very HIGH end). Usually if lots of e-waste are put up on ebay and are a really deal, then they are bought up within hours. This seller is dreaming if they think they are going to get that much for what they have.

I expect the weights will be right, but I'm doubtful that anything else will.

The price is in sterling, so it is even worse: $289.78
