Thanks alot for this info!
Where is this customer located? Is it a computer repair place ? Whats the name?
Since we are sharing info I thought you could reciprocate? Its just a question. Dont think I am going to canada for your servers.
I don't quite get the last question, but if it's a repair place, you can assume that they won't usually be complete. ;)
If you can land a repeat customer, though, it may be worth it to take a lower margin (Not losing money, though).
Old servers are hard to sell. Maybe you can sell a PSU or the drive caddies, but that would be about it for server-specific parts.
Of course, RAM and hard drives can be sold if they're tested and working.
I can't give you a value, because I don't know the completeness of the machines, how much time/labor you'll have into it, the Canadian currency rates, or how buyers in Canada are in volume/price.
Best of luck!
They used the servers and they are 100% Complete with HD's
they recently went "cloud" and need to get rid
Oh thanks, then its a company getting rid of the servers or a company that services the servers.
They use the servers for themselves for sure, guy told me 100% complete
I wouldn't quote a price untill you see them for yourself , I rarely arrive to the same lot that is described to me , always ask for pictures as well . People tend to over or under estimate for the most part . Better to go see them for yourself then promise a monetary amount and roll the dice . Good luck !
Thanks will keep this in mind for the future :)
Way she goes....Sometimes a bad deal is the best deal. You learn a lesson from it and never repeat it.
So true but sometimes a bad deal turns into a repeat customer and i guess its better then no deal? as long as your not getting ripped off every time haha
Didn't you have another tread on this?
