I'll start with the fact that I haven't tested it yet. That is part of my question. I generally don't do much with computer stuff other than show it to a couple people and if they don't want it I scrap it. Unfortunately, prices for computer scrap are so low for me right now I barely look twice at it and don't tear down towers.
So I found a 3 TB HDD yesterday and even I know that is large and will be worth something if it works. I showed it to my buddy at work and he is interested and wants to test it, but I know he won't pay anywhere close to the $60+ they are fetching on
Ebay right now. I'm not even sure if my computer at home has SATA so I don't know if I can test it myself. My question is what would you do? It could be a while before I have a machine that I can test it with but I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, either. It's only worth a dollar in scrap so I'm willing to try to go for more, I just don't know how far.
