    cd/dvd lasers

Decided to deal with the five gallon buckets of laser assemblies that I have. Has anyone had any success with selling the entire assembly or selling the plated eyes and the tiny ic with the gold bonding wires on there own? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I see listings for new units but have been unable to find scrap lots on there. I'll probably have to find someone that's tweaked out on meth to disassemble them for me.

their not that difficult to tear apart... as long as you have the time and tools to do so. A Jewelers set of drivers work pretty good.

One of our recently departed members had a thread on that. I have no clue what keywords to use to find the thread though.

Seems that there have been many threads on the topic over the last few years with very few answers. Here is one and it seems like Mech posted the same picture in most of the other threads I found. http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/compu...hlight=readers

I'm in the same situation, a bucketfull of Lasers and no idea what to do with them.

Maybe we should contact a large refiner somewhere in south Asia and find out exactly what they can use.

I will put some time into doing that.
