    I agree with you, although I have removed a hot tub for $50. The only reason I did this is because the tub worked, my father-in-law happened to be looking for one, and he would already be at the location doing electrical work. I didn't want to charge an amount that would make the guy have to think or consider it. But I certainly wasn't going to do it for free.
