Just got a new trailer. already almost filled.

Just got a new trailer last week, and a couple days later got a pickup for several old lawnmowers and pretty well filled up my new trailer already!
The trailer bed is 18x6.5 feet, and will be used for more than just scrapping, but definitely does a good job with it!

With lawn mowers, i always try to fold up the handles. It only takes a minute to unscrew them and then they can fold flat on the mower, makes them stack very well.
Also is that a leaf blower in the front? That and the riding mower should be easy sales on craigslist

Break those mowers down or you'll just get shred. Also, I suggest making those cross members easy on/off, they pose definite height limitations. Cool trailer BTW

Have a lock on the coupler. I also built the walls myself with a friend and made them removable, so they can be taken off in 10-15 min. It's 18ft long, decided if I was going to get a trailer might as well do it right and get a double axle 3500# each and big enough to hold a car if need be.

No leaf blower, but tons of push mower bodies, several with motors, and the riding mower doesn't work.

Not sure exactly what I'd be breaking down on lawn mowers. seperating aluminum? or engines from rest or what exactly...

Some mowers have cast alum base. If you remove the motor by me you can get dirty alum price for it vs steel price as is

The words John Deere on the piece of equipment gives it more than scrap value.

Doesn't matter. People LOVE John Deere. At least throw it on CL as a fixer and see what it does.

yeah, just popping the motors off of them (usually only 4 bolts) gives you lots better than shred. I have some here I'll ask the local small engine man if he can use the motors for parts before scrapping them (doesn't hurt to ask ; ), might even find a new pick-up point there
