Today I Broke My Grinder

Hi all i thought i would tell you all that you have to be very careful when scrapping stuff because today i was trying to cut open
a transformer from a microwave, i had i positioned in my vice on a 90 degree angle and then the transformer fell out whilst i was
undoing the vice and landed on and smashed my grinder, lucky it was only a cheap $20 K Mart grinder which worked very well.
I am glad i didnt not purchase a more expensive grinder, because it would have been smashed by falling transformer, oh well
what a waste of $20, next time i will not put the grinder on the ground just next to the vice. Has anyone here had a similar thing
happen to them? I would really like to hear you experiences on loosing and breaking your tools.

Here is the picture of the broken grinder below. I have pulled the broken grinder apart for spare pieces and i am going to scrap
the electric engine, and i cut of the power cord for copper.

In this business, tools will get broken, and occassionally lost. Unfortunately, it is not always preventable. Always take a minute to think safety first. Seeing the grinder story reminded me of my own grinder story a few months ago. A cut-off disc blew apart on me, and broke my safety glasses. Thanks to the glasses, I only got minor scrapes on my face. If I were not wearing them, I am dead certain it would have cost me my right eye.

at least you didn't get hurt. Time to scrap that grinder

Don't scrap that grinder. You can fix it with duct tape.
