If I were You I would start by renting a small " Outside Access " storage locker at a " Small Location " like Route 4 Self Storage in Turner , that way as You find items to scrap , Ex. Computer Towers , washer and drier's etc. You can stick them inside every night and Not Worry about them being stolen from your truck bed over night , and You might evan be able to quietly strip items there . Thats how I do it as My landlord would have a nutty at our rented duplex .
Also watch Craig's List and Uncle Henry's for a used Class 3 hitch ( 3500 # Rating ) , ( A new Curt 2 in. hitch is about $ 161.95 from E-Trailer.com . )and just grab a trailer from U-Haul in Auburn when You need one ,
( A 5 X 8 Open trailer is $ 18.95 and the 6 X 12 is $ 29.95 and will allow You to tow 2,000 # with a S-10 )
I have rented from them for over 20 yrs. and I live in Mass. LOL. I put one on my daughters S-10 Blazer to tow U-Haul's and then our own trailer's . It was the only thing that saved her when an ******* talking on his phone rear ended her at a light without slowing down .

2000 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup Trailer Hitch | etrailer.com ( I just ran the numbers for a 2000 S-10 )
Ps
I started with ( 1 ) 10 X 20 , moved to ( 2 ) 10 X 20's then moved to a new place into ( 2 ) 12 X 30's that are 10 Ft. high and come with 24 Hr. access , Lights and .Elec. and are wired to the Police Station for $ 150 each . I am now down to just one and trying to keep it that way as I also have to pay $ 75. to store My trailers elsewhere .
Only a small portion of it is scrapping goodies , the rest is from our other two projects .
