A good day...Finally Had to share my story

I finally had a good day scrapping after a bunch of slow ones. My first pickup yielded 14 computer towers (All complete, but a few were missing HDs.) I also got 6 printers and 2 CRT monitors. Most are P3s and I got it all for free. I am going to break them down and sell them to one of the buyers on the forum. I will keep track of how much I get and let you guys know
My second pickup was from the "storage room of a church. I got 800 lbs of shred. (broken chairs, etc) I also got 49 lbs of stainless commerical door hardware. But the gem of the day was a brass "picture\sculpture thing. At first glance I thought it was made of plaster but I hit it with my magnet and it rang like a bell. It ended up being solid yellow brass and weighed 49 lbs. That made my week!
Even though the ferrous prices suck, things are improving here in Utah. I think some of the fair weather scrappers are starting to give up. That means more pick ups for the rest of us.

a 49 pound sculpture and you're thinking a dollar a pound? You're a hard core scrapper
49 pounds of commercial door hardware, all stainless? Hmmm, at todays prices, that's about $5?

I actually got $25 for the stainless door parts. (.55\lb.x 49 lbs) I am going to hold onto the sculpture but it would have sold for $85 if I sold it today. I thought that was pretty good. And I only had to drive about 10 miles to get it all.
