elections are coming I predicted $2.49 fuel by November a year ago. If you look back at the history of these "fuel spikes" you will notice every time we have one the price never seem to drop back to or below the last low, it always gains about .50 or so.

It depends on your income level and the province you live in, much the same as in the US. I lived in California from '97 to 2000; from what I remember, I had a lot more money left over after all of the deductions when I lived there.

In NZ gas is US$6.40 a gallon.

    Thats if the NZ$ = US$.80cents & theres 4 litres in a gallon....

    or NZ$2.00 a litre here.

US Gallons are 3.785L, so a US Gallon of £1.44/L unleaded would cost £5.26 per US Gallon, or $8.15 - so fuel is currently nearly 2.5 times as expensive in the UK. Not many people travel long distances to pick up ferrous scrap in the UK, that's for sure!
I know lying is wrong, but if the elephant man came in now in a blouse with some make up on, and said, "How do I look?" Would you say, bearing in mind he's depressed and has respiratory problems, would you say, "Go and take that blusher off you mis-shapened elephant tranny?" No. You'd say, "You look nice... John""

Does this mean scrap metal prices will start to go up?
