    Fuel @ $3.43

Fuel is not the lowest by me compared to even NJ but a bit time ago it was over $4 . I see for me, the curb hunter that the lower price of fuel balances out the lower selling price old metals . Sure like some I should have probably made that last sale of my short , that now I just want to hold .But for $10 gas I get more travel time to fine the goods .
Just the same I feel for any one out there who purchased product around the influx of the drop and a loss of not $100 but thousands happened to you.

That was very difficult to read.

Are you saying fuel is down in your area and therefore the prices of scrap has dropped with the fuel prices?

Ouch. I can get gas at Sam's Club for $2.98/gallon. Guess being down south has some advantages.

Ours was 3.04 right before the 4th then the radio stations all kept talking about all the people traveling over the 4th and all the stations for about 3 states jumped their prices up to 3.45, what a price conspiracy, I thought it was illegal but the Gov't. lets them get away with it on a regular basis.

$3.49 at the local stations about 40 miles north of Milwaukee, WI. Before the 4th of July, it was down to $3.39 that is typical here right before a holiday.

not a conspiracy.. it's the speculators.. They raised the price of oil barrels like 15-20 dollars over the last 10 days in preparation for the busy travel week... My diesel price went from $4.0599 a gal to $4.20..then $4.25... now $4.2999... Sucks. The stations make the exact same margin on every gallon they sell regardless of the price at the pump you see.. they get their shipment and charge accordingly.. Best bet is when the prices start going up at the busy stations look for the less frequented ones that still have leftover fuel from their older, cheaper shipments..

Nothing in life is free. You should see our taxes (not just on gas, but on everything - income and expenditures).
