    gun holster

I found a gun holster for a widow maker the belt also had a holder for hand cuffs bullets and other police essentials . I planed to sell on e bay but Like a FOOL maybe ??
First took it to the police to see if it was ok to sell as i don't want some yo yo buying it to impersonate a cop . I was told it was issued to the sheriffs department and now they first want to make sure it has no theft connection to it
The police said if the sheriffs dept says i can keep it he will call me . He did ask where I found it & I doubt that I am getting that back .

I'll whistle Dixie till i get it back as nobody has called . I figure they will keep for themselves
Only good that comes of it is I tell them i scrap and so far i have brought to them in addition to the holster bullets of various caliber and shot gun shells that i found at other times . So I am a little nit known for the hunting and turning in of things. Cause when you come down to it - it is not really legal to pick trash. So finding these type of items and not getting told the law is a victory.
As I have to say we all need to be careful curb hunting as live ammunition is a common danger

Right on. I have found many bullets over the years in the trash. Heck, I found a nearly new bullet single bolt bullet press one day with everything included, minus gun powder. (Sold it for $450)
