    just started scrapping...first find

    driving on the interstate found a tailgate to a ford ranger. not sure what is worth about

    those things can slip right off at the right angle if the straps are off it. I bought one once from an individual for a truck that had a bad tailgate, and was surprised at how simple it was to put on, just popped right on there. If he had it down and no support cables attached, and hit a good bump going down the road, he probly never even knew he lost it

    I saw an ad for mine in the Nashville paper. He wanted $50. It was a different year so I wasn't sure it would fit, but went by to see it anyway. He had gotten it from an insurance thing, but had sold the wrecked one before it got there. The bill on that thing was like $1100. It had all new parts from Ford, and was fully assembled. I told the guy if it fit I'd by it, lifted it up and slid it onto the bed anchors, then raised it up and it latched perfectly, gave him his $50 and said, I hope you're as happy with it as I am, he said Yep!

    If its in really bad shape you can get 20 25 for someone just wanting a replacement tailgate
