A couple days? From the Forum stats (as of 4:37 AM 7/16/12): Threads 7,751; Posts 80,220.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
Well a couple of days will give you a very good start and you will be far better educated than the average scrapper.

When I first joined, recently, I read a huge majority of the material here. I think you'll find, like I did, that a lot of it is repeated, and then there's a lot of leisure-type of talking, where it's not something you can get knowledge from. (like people joking and playing around with each other.) I'm not sure exactly how much I read, but it was at least 6-10 hours worth, and I'm a pretty fast reader.
good luck! I wonder how many posts are added each day!
You can do it! Just read the good ones ; )
And when your done you'll have a degree in scrapology,,,

Im starting with the ewaste section because I feel that I could use the knowledge from that section the most. Perhaps I will just skim through the "off topic" section but, Im going to try to read just about everything.
Yes mick you are right it will probably take longer than a couple of days.
Hobo: There isnt too many post per day. Some threads only have a handful of posts per day because the rest of the post are from other days.
Im going to try reading about 3-4 hours per day and see where that gets me. including all of the posts from the current day so, I dont get behind on anything.
thanks for the encouragement.
When I joined there were far less threads to read and then I have just kept up. Reading the old threads will give you a perspective on how the knowledge base has developed.
For me ewaste was the most money maker but in the beginning I was only interested in breaking down items to get Cu, Al, SS and brass. By taking the time to read most/all of the threads you should learn many helpful tips. I will be interested in reading you conclusions after you have completed your task. Perhaps you will tell us what you were surprised by. Mike.

I always like reading about CU & boards ( ewaste ) I feel since reading about ewaste it caused me to see each & every circuit board for what it is A great selling item.

Good luck, maybe by telling evryone what you discover some of the newer people will follow suit and read before posting a question that has been answered over and over again. What is learned here by reading can't be learned in any school. I know I have increased my knowledge ten fold in a few short months and am forever in debted to those who share their knowledge.
