    Show your truck and/or trailer...

    Guys and gals,

I am very new to all of this and would really like to see what everyone else uses to haul their scrap with. Your truck/van/SUV/car and/or trailer(s). Also, if you could list advantages or disadvantages of your transportation choices -- it would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Most people use whatever they can get their hands on that works, depending on the current project. I saw one guy rides his skateboard to scope out the neighborhood, then goes back with his car, but said he's hauled some very large and heavy things on the skateboard itself. Another rides a bicycle with a two wheel dolly for a "trailer" ; )

Maybe I should re-phrase my question then. I just wanted some idea of what people use, that make a viable living from scrapping. I guess I could use a wagon and walk the 8 miles to the recycler but I would use all profits for water and new shoes... So let's direct the question to those people supporting themselves. OR, what do others aspire to have to make themselves profitable.

I am trying to make this as informational and motivational as possible for everyone!

funny thing is, my reply addressed both those points, and both the guys referenced actually do. Fact is precisely what I stated, people use whatever they can access to get the job done. I didn't post mine, might later, but wasn't trying to be a smart but either.
