This is my third. I still remember my first. I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I'm batting 3 out of 600 to 700. I'm happy with those averages.
toss it in the trash, and go hug your kids

I put it on the mantle right in between both of my kids pictures. I hope to need one of those huge collage boards some day to put the rest of them in.
I understand my wife's point but she doesn't have the slightest understanding of the meaning of the CPU or frame. It's not even the value of it but the feeling I get when I find one. Its like the cherry on top for an electronics scrapper like me. It's like hitting a home run. It's like giving birth..... Ok that may be going too far. Good thing she doesn't read my posts.

I seen those things talked about highly...where do u find them and why are they worth praising...sorry if its a stupid question

I couldn't have said it better, perfect analogy. Thank you. Now if I said that to my wife she'd starting thinking jewelry and make me cash it in and buy her something 100 times the value of it.
Lol first pile of e scrap I was given had a twin CPU server board with two of those attached ... Lol yet to find more

Oh ok...what are they called and where would I find them

Jose, Jose , Jose. Have you been doing your reading like I suggested? This my fellow newby is the rare and valuable pentium pro processor all electronic scrappers look for. In many old computers you come across you cross your fingers and say the secret scrappers prayer before you tear it open in hopes of finding one. They're much more valuable than your standard CPU you find in the computers today. They have a much more higher gold content than others. The gold you see in the pic is actual gold and the other side is full of thick gold pins. I hope you find one someday.

Scrapcrazy...
Ok thnks..i got alot to learn...
So wat wud that small one go for if u sold it??
![]() |
I've yet to sell a CPU other than scrap. So whenever I come across the everyday common CPU you regularly see, I think of it as a dollar as I toss it into my pile of CPU's. And by the way Jose... I'm just messin with ya! You're here to learn as am I, and I will always try to shed knowledge whenever I can.
Those Pentium Pros are going for $25-$30 each on eBay right now.

Thnks guys...

Don't worry about it Jose. No question is a stupid question. Its just a question that may have been asked a million times already in other threads. Keep reading if you're serious about scrapping. The knowledge you pick up in these threads will save you lots of time and even money. And about throwing away money.... Go into your trash can right now, cause I'm positive you are. It comes with being new. We've all been there, shoot I'm still there now.
