    drills

Was in home depot today and the Milwaukee tool guy approaches me about the new fuel drill . I try it and sure it has power lots of it , So whats new is they stop using brushes and now in stead has a small circuit board so less heat less friction hmm tools for years have brushes dependable as heck they are
what they now will save on is the nice bits of copper at the brush area no more
guess that will add up . the boards must cost less and when they go I bet it will be a sudden death compared to some of the good old tools i find at the curb 20 years old and work

absolutely! They find a cheaper way to manufacture a product, specifically to pocket themselves more of a profit, and they market it as the "new and improved"! What do they care what it'll be costing you in the long run ; )

Sounds interesting but I would have to ask how long a fuel cylinder lasts and if it takes the standard cartridge or if you have to buy theirs.

Fuel is just a name for the tool.

"Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL tools will include several new features. Most significantly, these drills will be powered by a new brushless motor. Why brushless? Milwaukee says that their new motors work harder and live longer while reducing noise and cool more rapidly. And it’s true – brushless motors are all the rage in several markets these days since they offer greater efficiency and torque output."

Any tool is a motor AL or plastic case I save AL tools for prosperity and future dismantling as the AL is a nice heavy weight and you still have the motor and a bit of short.

As to is it better sure i guess . modern TVs are also better , But I see a trend when i find old TV's computer CRT's they still mostly work , The new flats that are already tossed mostly don't work when found . Over all I find it interesting that the final result of modern items is to lower the CU content wile this statement is based on just what i heard modern boards are built very efficient as to precious metals compared to boards of the past.
We all need to realize the juicy finds are not going to last for ever

haha. I don't own any Milwaukee tools, nor have any stake in them, but since I am advertising for them I think I need to be compensated.
