I doubt racoons were put in there by someone unless u saw a cage. They can get into anything, and can survive in crazy places.

I pulled a fog machine out of a dumpster behind a bowling alley a few weeks ago. It works perfectly and still had 3/4 of a tank of fog juice. Gave it a quick cleaning and sold it today on craigslist for $50. The things people throw away...
