    What to save ?

Being in my fifties lets look back to a innocent time and it kinda was, for starts you only had 6 channels on TV and TV shut down at 2 am to 3 am
My gen was being raised by people who still felt TV was an amazing thing as often reminded of the days of radio by my parents . The toys of my time were great
Cox gas cars . Goop critter makers , Erector sets GIJO army and more Did I mention Base Ball cards , my Gen was convinced that old base ball cards were OLD and since you could not trade them in the kids games the next best thing was summer fun as they did a great job making a motor cycle sound when taped to the bicycle from Yogia Beria to GULP Mickey Mantle the kids of the 1960's were haveing a fine time with our future retirement accounts.
I don't want to make the same mistake if i should live to eighty and beyond (and thats plenty to ask for)
Do any of you have a list of what you feel is worth saving / Mother boards - Chips - MEM ?? Any Toy tips ??

Whatever everybody else is throwing away.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Buffalo nickels...Mercury dimes..other silver coins. They were just starting to disappear back then but could easily be found. Could today's copper pennies suffer the same fate?

The metal tonka trucks... not the plastic ones they make today.... There are collectors who go nuts over them... just look on ebay at some of the crazy prices.... even if you come across a smashed up one, you can still part out the good pieces.... I have at least 10 old ones out in the back yard and was gonna put a ad on kijiji and aim them at the adult market, not the childrens toy market

I hoard based on value / volume (not weight) so I hoard Ceramic Chips, RAM, Gold Fingers. HDD boards, but no MOBs. As far as collectible stuff, I feel like the market is too fickle and also, the amount of that stuff in circulation is so high (think about a kid's toy inventory in 1950 vs 2010, When I visit my neighbor's they have shelves of Xmas toys unopened from previous years, and they a teachers in a rural area. I can't imagine how much stuff every high paid suburbanite has in their attic) and the awareness of saving it so prevalent, that there will never be a market for toys etc. produced now. IMHO of course.

I think there is a reasonable possibility of currency issues, so Gold content for me. Also, I see very little pre-486 or old mainframe chips. Although, if I can across them, I would save them since they are so compact and pretty cool.
