    Stay hydrated!

    Hey guys! I just wanted to do my good deed for the day and remind everyone to stay well hydrated throughout the day especially for all the folks in the midwest. We are all having record temperatures. In my state of Oklahoma we've had over 45 days of 100 plus degree weather. I remember when a week of this stuff was rare. I know for most of us, scrapping involves labor intensive work and sometimes in closed off areas like barns, garages and misc buildings where the heat is even more severe. No matter how big or profitable the load, take your time, take plenty of breaks and don't over exert yourself. Drink plenty of water. Sweating is good. Not sweating is bad. Remember even the slightest case of heat stress can lead to something much worse than just dehydration. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay alive! Be safe out there everyone.

    Sweat is the cologne of success!

    Beer might be tasty when its hot but that and sugary soft drinks do not threats the body.
    As a driver I'm always sober, but my truck is always ready to get loaded

    This summer I pick up a brass thermometer some kinda antique MY AC broke MY windows don't go down .The sliding door window completely out but the antique car thermometer is always 100 often 110 and seen 122 I will say it's unpleasant I have found the car is on average 20 degrees hotter then the temp during the day

    Just FYI, if you're in the desert, not sweating could be normal, otherwise I agree....

    Also, the symptoms of TOO MUCH salt in your system, are very similar to TOO LITTLE salt in your system...

    Also, if anyone needs water, let me know.. Florida is getting more than enough for everyone.

    My signs are 'tingly lips' & suddenly-frequently needing to go to the loo, then getting there & only getting a dribble.

    Watch out if you are 'starting' a new medication (say - Amitriptyline) it dehydrates you. Eating food that absorbs water, like hot chips or bread without drinking water, is not so good either.

    Drink 1/2 a liter water, then in 10 - 15 mins, drink another. Then in 10-15 mins, drink another. Thats restores me.
