    Most common items found curb side....

    By far, TV/Monitors (crt and flat screens) are the most common things I find. Next up has to be Vaccume cleaners/rug machines. It does suck finding ways to dispose of the waste.... Just saying, cause lately I have never seen so many TV's and monitors curb side.... Driving to the local 7-11, theres another TV.. Sigh, heh... Three large trash cans full of boards/wires and Yokes to break down.... **** heat and mosquitos been putting me off.

    Yah the heat and Mosquitos have got me beat this year. I'm storing way more than breaking down or selling. By the time I get home from my day job it's over 100 degrees and it's been that way for a month. I'm complaining but it actually did some good to over take the garage this year plus Paying $80 a month on a storage unit. My wife just paid someone to lay a 16x30 slab for a building out back. I'm so stoked. I guess I know where all my scrapping money will be going this year. I know this may sound gay but I'm excited to put a bathroom in my building with a urinal. I've always wanted my own urinal.

    Liquor run(s)? How much liquor you drinkin tonight!! LOL!!

    Yeah, tv's here by me too, I had 9 last week and 3 monitors. I used my neighbor to put some out I felt so bad I had so many but I'm sure I'm not fooling the garbage men!!

    TV's, vacuums, air cleaners, household kitchen appliances and metal desks and boxes of tools and garage clean out stuff has been the norm for a bout a month now. Then microwaves and dryers.

    I have many urinals in my backyard, the lemon tree, the mandarin and anywhere in the garden that
    needs a little fertiliser.

    this side of town it's tv's, monitors, printers, little heaters & vacuums (red ones mostly).
    microwaves are like hot cakes, if there's one at street view you'll see scrappers charging from all directions to get it.
    i'm pretty sure there's one scrapper that drives around with the same microwave in his truck, just to show he's got one

    we're still on analogue tv in australia and it's getting switched off next year completely,
    there's going to be an awful lot of crt tv's in next years hard rubbish and for a couple years after.

    It hasn't been a full night unless we've seen:
    * At least 5 toilets
    * Several interior doors
    * An old hose
    * Plastic lawn chairs, and lots of 'em
    * Piles and piles of scrap lumber

    In between is the good scrap metal. There's lots of competition here in Detroit, so it amazes me at how much we find. We can see a scrapper truck leaving the neighborhood, get all depressed thinking we won't find anything, then spend an hour picking up everything he didn't see. Weird how that works.
