    great craigslist fine!!!!

So i was at work, and searching the free section, i was looking for maybe 15 mins when a new ad pops up! free rims and tires, i open it up and and BOOM!, 16" alum rims from a Saab car.

i jump right on it and get him on the phone, and on my lunch break i went and picked them up. i kinda feel bad because i'll probly get like $50.00 from these rims, and he just gave them away for free. But its not like he has the tools to get the tires off anyways.

cl is really an up & down game. people say one thing and then do others. i've called alot and when im about to leave they tell me its gone!!! Whats real hard is that i work full time, and scrap part time and thats whats really hard, is that the full time scrappers can leave anytime to pick-up and they always beat me to the free stuff, even when i call 1st the owner wants the stuff gone.

Don't feel bad, the guy knew they were worth something thats why he put them on there. I'm sure it was worth it to him not to deal with them anymore. good score!

couldn't those be worth more to a shop that deals in saabs, or tires or something, who has to occasionally replace them ?

i was thinking about that, i looked and two of them have big dents from a crub or something, idk if they can be straightened or if they still would be road worthy. has anyone on here every sell rims to a steal-er-ship, or a tire warehouse?

Ace, in order to be a successful scrapper you will need to grow a thick skin. It's never bad to have a conscience, and honesty is always the best policy. So don't feel bad for responding to a free ad and making money off of it. This business is cut throat so be thankful you were able to get the score. If you really feel bad you can send me the money and I'll put it to good use. Lol!

He gave them away. It doesn't matter what he did with them. Should have just said that you were going to use them the. You wouldn't be lying be because you used them to make money.

Yeah as far as im concerned i work my ass off for the little money i make, so a lie here and there or racing through a neighborhood with three other scrappers in it is the least of my worries.

I always find it funny when people offer to give something away then they want to change their minds when the scrap truck rolls up...........If I offer to give something away I could care less what you do with it
