Finally got started on the ultimate pickup bed trailer. A one ton dually gooseneck! So far all material source from scrap. Still a way to go but it's gotten even closer.

Level on the back of the upright channel on the hitch. Not quite level, a tad uphill, which is what I was aiming for.

Frame welded back together with a 3/16 in behind the frame.

Still have the floor and sides to do, lights, and gona have a friend put a electric over hydraulic dump kit on it.

Also picked up this 12k winch from harbor freight last sat to replace my 9k winch. The fair lead got destroyed and then chewed up the rope. It was about as cheap to replace the winch as to put a new rope and fair lead, so I went a step bigger for another 20$. And got the 2 yr warranty. Really don't think I'll need it but for 40$ a yr it's pretty cheap insurance.

Wet just upgraded our 8000 to 10,000lbs , you sure see the difference when dragging trucks and vans siting on frame rails,
True for sure! Last week I had to drag a Plymouth Grand Voyager that was buried nearly to the frame with 4 flat tires, the 10,000 lb winch was definitely necessary and earned its "keep" that day!Quote:

Using an old pickup tool box, and a lot of modification to that box, I put a enclosure around this one.

Just did last night, that winch had short work of pulling a 500 gallon propane tank on the trailer !
Scored this '99 olds Friday night, guy said it needed a starter. Put a fresh battery in it and drove it off the trailer.

It's pretty sad when you confuse needing a starter with a dead battery.
Scored this extremely rusted out fox body mustang for a steal. Body was shot but after replacing one spark plug wire, the 2.3 ran like a top, pulled the motor and trany and the rest went bye bye.

Finally got around to fixing a hole in my muck boots, tested em out last night and it's water tight. It rained all day here yesterday so everything is a sloppy mess. Might look kinda redneck but sure beats spending another 120$.
