That's one scary looking van on the inside. Toss some Halloween decorations on it, and you got you a moving haunted house.

Tater you and Cory get me going down the old memory trail every time you two post in your respective threads. Keep it up you two!

Sirscrapalot - Has been the poor bastard who had to steer and work the brakes on a tow like that before. "But Grandpa there isn't any brakes!" "Welcome to the towing profession boy!"

Well last week had a bunker buster week, weather suppose to be nasty this week and found out my pickup needs 600$ of done to it. Plus it'll be down the rest of the week. And the hits just keep coming ! It figures, everytime I think I might actually get ahead, something always has a way of eating up a good portion of my profits.

Tater you'll do what ya always do buddy, roll with the punches, get up, dust yourself off, and take another shot at it. Life wouldn't be any fun if someone didn't come along an pull the rug out from our feet every once in a while. I could do without that kinda fun, but what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. I'll just be calling you taterhulk from now on.

An just cause you live out there in the country...

i'd gladly tow a 2 ton truck over a full sized school bus any day. done it. won't do it again. my next projct is going to be a tow dolly that i can put the truck front end on so i can atleast have one axle with brakes. i'm thinking about a internal tire mount kindof like the trailers for the flotation tired spray rigs. mainly because i don't know how to make it under the 8.5' wide and able to accomodate a 8' truck. kind of like this
but still have it able to drag a car/pickup onto it between the wheels. im thinking about using a walking beam suspention with two axles and truck low profile tires.

Well update time ! Pickup is done, 479$ later plus parts. Completely rebuilt the front end and now it's time to buy 2 tires, yay ! On the plus side it'll drive much nicer now and not chop tires to bits. And Im glad to get it home, been having separation anxiety a lot the last 2 days !

    My newest tool

Wireless remote for my 9000# badlands winch. Only cost 25$, was a bit anxious bout buying it due to some negative reviews on the hf website. Got it and home and tried it at 65 feet and it worked flawlessly ! I would highly recommend to anyone with a hf winch, haven't had a chance to use it in action but I think it'll make loading cars much easier and quicker.

It's made for a hf winch but if you can figure out how it needs wired could Probadly run any winch. I just wish it was alvailbe when I bought my winch. Planning on buying a 12000 # winch before the end of this month, and another wireless controller as well. I wouldn't recommend everything hf sells but the winches are for sure worth the money. I've had my 9000# for going on 2 years, and countless cars, pickups and vans latter and it works just as well as it did on day 1.

Getting the 12k one this month too before the sale ends...although they seem to be on sale most of the time. I thought I saw that it came with a remote but maybe it's the hard wired one??

Good looking trailer! Are you going to build side boards for it?

Thanks joe. And yes side boards are in order. Debating on height tho, I have 12" on the other trailer and they work good, plus don't have to take em off to haul vehicles but it'd be nicer to have 4' side boards at times.

For sure, pull like a dream. Eventually I plan to phase out all bumper pull.

It get's the weight off the bumper (tail wagging the dog effect) and plants it in the middle of the bed which evenly distributes the weight.
